Moved With Compassion
“But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.”
Psalm 86:15 (NKJV)
Jesus was moved with compassion on many occasions.
Read Matthew 9:35 & 36, “Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when He saw the multitudes. He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.”
Even when He was being crucified Jesus prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34)
As Jesus was full of compassion so we should also be full of compassion.
We should look for the good in people and encourage them to develop their talents to the maximum!!
We should always be quick to give praise and let them know that they are appreciated!!
When they slip and make a mistake (AS WE ALL DO!) we should always be moved with compassion for them and say the things that are going to help them get up and press on!!
God has given us all talents and one of the most effective ways to develop them is to be FULL OF COMPASSION for each other!!
Prayer
Father God, we praise your Holy and wonderful Name. Please help us to have compassion for each other and to encourage each other to become more like you.
Amen
