Filled With Love

“He who loves his neighbour has satisfied every claim of the law”

Romans 13:8 (New English Translation)

John received a present from his daughter Jane. It was wrapped in pretty gold paper.

When John opened the box he found that it was empty. “There is nothing in the box, Jane,” said her father. “There is, Dad. I blew lots of kisses into that box; it is filled with my love for you.”

We all need to know that somebody loves and cares about us. Love is a basic human need!

The strongest tie that can keep a family together is love.

            Love is caring.

Love is being there to help no matter what the need may be.

Love is being willing to listen

            Love is being dependable.

Love is being willing to give of our time.

Love is being willing to serve others.

Jane has now grown up and left home. John still has the box. When he opens it he remembers that it is filled with Jane’s love for him.

Prayer

Father God, please help us to love others as you love us.

Amen
