Not Alone

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…to the ends of the earth!”
Acts 1:8 (NIV)

We often times lack courage—when we need to promote ourselves in an interview, when we want to share our feelings for someone we care about or when we need to make a confession of wrong-doing to a loved one or even to God. This is natural.

Do we also lack courage when we feel we want to share the good news? Do we feel ill-equipped and under-prepared? Of course we do. When we’re doing it on our own and relying on our own knowledge, or persuasive arguments then it can be a daunting task.

Fear not. If we remember to call on the Spirit that dwells within, we will be given the words; the power of the Spirit will speak through us and we allow ourselves to be used as instruments for God purpose. Call on the Spirit boldly and we will be able to witness for God to the ends of the earth.

Prayer
Father, it is not us that speak to the hearts of men but you alone. We are the instruments that you choose to use to do Your will on earth. We offer ourselves to you Lord and pray that you will use us to do your work. We are at your service.
