“Meet Me In The Square”

“For the Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost.”

 Luke 19:10 (NIV)

A father, long estranged from his son, is said to have posted a notice in a Spanish square; “Son, I have missed you and want you back. Meet me in the square at noon on Friday.” On the appointed day eighty-seven young men turned up.

It is human to backslide and wander away from God.  There is a longing in every heart to be found. There is no more important message in the whole world than this: God misses us and longs for us to be back in fellowship with him. Through the cross of Jesus, the Father calls us home, covers our nakedness and shame, and clothes us in the righteousness of Jesus. The God who asks “Where are you?” is the same God who comes in the person of His Son to seek and to save what was lost.

 Prayer

Loving Heavenly Father, Thank you for your grace, help me stay at Your side and never wander from it. You came to me, in the Person of your Son, and now I am Yours. Thank you for finding me and helping me to find you in return. I am back in the Kingdom, I am home. All praise and honour to Your wonderful name.

Amen
