What If?
“Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute!”
Philippians 4:4 (MSG)
What if Jesus did come this week, tomorrow, next week, next month? Are we ready? Do we know what we should be doing? Do we have a plan? Do we need a plan?
Lately I have been doing some work in our bathroom. We have had a number of problems…not all my fault, just things I have not thought of and one problem built on another problem.
Sitting typing this I have learnt from this project that we need to have more wisdom, patience, time, and planning in our lives.
Going back to the above verse, this is saying HOLD ON. There’s nothing on earth—like the bathroom—that is important; ONLY Jesus is important because, in the Kingdom, we will not need to worry about the things that worry us now. Let’s just help people be GOOD Christians and be thankful, putting but Him first.
Patience and wisdom is what we need for the future.
Prayer
Thank you, Lord, for all the things we have, the special blessings you give us in our daily lives. Thank you for the gift of family and our extended family in church. We pray for your soon and coming future where there will be no worrying, but eternal happiness.
Amen
