Jesus Loves Me, This I Know

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 (NKJV)

I expect that many of us can remember singing, Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong, we are weak but He is strong. Yes, JESUS LOVES ME!!

Do we really comprehend how true these words are?

There are many people in this world that believe they are not loved by any one. One of the greatest joys in life is to have someone tell us that they love us in spite of our many failings.

The wonderful news is that God loves YOU and ME and EVERY PERSON ON EARTH in spite of our many failings! He loves us all so much that He was willing to put off all His glory and be born of the virgin Mary. He lived a perfect life yet He suffered more than any other person because he paid the price of sin for the whole world, which is death!! He died in our place so that we could be with Him in glory for evermore.  This is the GOOD NEWS that we are to tell all the world.

We are coming up to the time when we remember the birth of Jesus in a stable. He was not born in a palace. He did not come in order to be served. He came in order to serve others.

Jesus paid the price for all the sin of this world. Then He rose from the grave on the third day and won the victory over sin and death. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, all our sins are covered, past, present and future! We then belong to Jesus and there is no need to fear, for the victory has been won.

Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves ME ! That is something that every person on this earth can be sure of. Let us go and tell them this wonderful news.

Prayer
Father God, help us to begin to comprehend how much  You love every person that is on this earth. Use us to tell them of Your love in word and action.
