Activate the Power

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…”
Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)

As believers in Jesus, we all have the power of the Holy Spirit working inside of us. But in order for that power to be activated we must stay connected to the vine, as it speaks about in John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing.”  Jesus Christ is the vine and we are the branches and when we live as Christians we bear much fruit.

When we abide in Jesus we connect to His eternal Love which will flow out of us like streams of living water.  It speaks of this in John 7:38, “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” This living water is eternal water that allows us to have direct fellowship with our Father God, for all our sins has been washed away by the blood of Jesus! When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour we were washed of all our sins, past, present and future! And we also received the gift of eternal life!  Revelation 1:5 says, “…and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood.

As we abide in Jesus, spending time in fellowship with Him in prayer and in His word, the Bible, His life will flow through us and bear fruit in our lives. The force of His Spirit will cause the love inside us to develop and be seen on the outside. That Spirit that hovered over the face of the deep and carried out God’s Word at creation is inside of us, waiting for us to call on Him. He is ready at any time of the day or night. He is saying ‘I am here to help you and strengthen you in all that you do.’ No problem is too small and no problem is too big. He is waiting there with the power to overcome every obstacle that we will ever have to face—all we have to do is to ask, then depend on Jesus, and leave it all in His hands.  He will never let us down!!

The Power of the Holy Spirit will enable us to manifest the love of God in our lives and  stay connected to Jesus Christ, who is the love vine!

Prayer
Father God, please help us to realize that the only way that we can manifest the love of God in our lives is to stay connected to Jesus Christ who is the love vine.
