Hand-Built With Love
“You created every part of me; you put me together in my mother’s womb.”
Psalm 139:13 (GNT)
I recently bought my husband a T-shirt with a picture of a Caterham sports car on the front. It wasn’t until he wore it that I noticed on the back the words “hand built with love”. It looked like my husband was hand built with love! As I considered this, I realised he was.
When we think of the billions of people in the world, it is hard for us to grasp that we are not only known to God personally and individually, but He actually created each and every one of us. He created every part of you and me. He put us together when we were still in our mother’s womb, as the above scripture shows us.
Even identical twins are each unique. Although they are formed with the same DNA, scientists have now discovered that as each twin develops, mutations randomly occur in the genetic letters. These are not easy to find, but they are there, just where God placed them.
When you create something, be it a car, a piece of sewing, or a painting, it is very special to you. You choose the colours and design. You know every small detail. Our Father designed each one of us, according to His pattern. Each one of us is unique, special to God
So next time you look in the mirror and think your nose is too big, or your mouth is too small, remember you are hand built with love.
Dear Father, Your love for each and every one of us is so great—we cannot comprehend it. Thank you that you hand-built me in my mother’s womb with love.
