The Right Place At The Right Time!

“See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.”
Isaiah 65:17 (NIVUK)

There are many situations in life where we can be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The most obvious being times of natural disasters and war. A motor vehicle or airplane accident. Or criminal activity. Those are times when we wish we were somewhere else.

For those who are believers today, we are in the right place at the right time! God has promised that he is making everything new (Revelation 21: 5). And the amazing fact is: he has already started with the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because of that historical event, we are now a significant part of God’s new creation. We are in the right place at the right time: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17).

I know that we do not feel as if we are a new creation. It is not a matter of feeling, it is about faith and believing that what God says is true. We still have our physical bodies with limitations and ailments. When Jesus returns we will be like him as we are told in 1 John 3:2-3. “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.”

Believers are destined to be in at the very beginning when God creates the new heavens and a new earth. It will be a very exciting time that no one in their right mind will want to miss out on. In whichever church that you worship and fellowship, as long as you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God (John 20:31), you are in the right place at the right time. So make the most of this amazing blessing. It will be a once in a lifetime event! Witnessing and participating in the creation of the new heavens and a new earth.

Prayer
Thank you, Father, for calling me into fellowship with your Son, Jesus. And by the Spirit, making me a new creation in Christ.
Amen
