God Goes Too!
“But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”
1 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV)
Each morning we need to say to ourselves “Everywhere I go today, God goes in me.” Christian believers need to start becoming more conscious of that. We need to train ourselves to be constantly aware of God inside us, talking to us, teaching us, counselling us, empowering us, and enduing us with Himself.
Romans 8:9-11 says, “But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” If we have united ourselves to God by receiving Jesus as Lord, everywhere we go today and every day, God goes too!
We need to continually remind ourselves that we are one spirit with Him, as it says in the header scripture. When we rejoice over something, God rejoices with us. Every time we face a trial or problem, God is facing it too. When we really comprehend this we will not be afraid, for we will then put our confidence in God and not in ourselves. This is a major key to success and happiness!
We are never left alone—He is always with us and is always willing to help us when we call on Him. When you get dressed in the morning look in the mirror and say, I am united to the Lord and I have become one spirit with Him—every where I go today God goes!
Father, please help us to fully comprehend the fact that You are always with us, and always willing to help us when we ask You.
