Washed By The Blood Of The Lamb

“…Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood.”
Revelation 1:5 (NKJV)

When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, all of our sins, past, present and future, were washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ. He paid the price for all of our sins with His own blood!

This is so encouraging to read that “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him…we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.” (Romans 5:8, 9, 11)

When we take the bread and wine, we acknowledge what Jesus taught in Luke 22:20, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.”

Jesus will never give up on us—whenever we slip or fall (as we all do at times) Jesus will always be there to pick us up and help us move on.

Whenever Satan tries to remind you of your sins. Tell him they are all covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord!

Prayer
Father, thank You for sending Jesus Christ to pay the price for all of our sins with His own blood.
