Depend On Jesus

“But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

Wait means to depend on, to have complete confidence in, and LORD refers to Jesus. What the above scripture is saying is: Those who depend on Jesus shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. We no longer depend on the natural, we depend on the supernatural power of Jesus through the Holy Spirit in us.

What wonderful promises they are! God expects us to do all that we can to take care of our physical bodies with sensible diet and regular exercise, but we need the Holy Spirit to lead us in the spiritual aspects of life. God will lead us in all these areas when we allow Him to and listen for His voice.

When we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit we enter into the supernatural or spiritual realm; for the Holy Spirit is supernatural, therefore we are no longer limited to the physical realm. The spiritual realm has no limits, while the physical realm has many limits. No matter what situations we may have to face now or in the future, we need not fear, for we can always depend on Jesus who works in the spiritual realm where there are no limits. Jesus is the only key that will open the door to the supernatural power of God!

Prayer
Please, God, help us to realize that when we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit we no longer depend on our natural power, but on the supernatural power of Almighty God.
