Reminded Of You

“By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.”
Hebrews 11:3 (NLT)

I feel You in the warmth of the Sun giving life to the world.
In a butterfly’s delicate touch with it’s damp wings unfurled.

In the softness of snow floating silently down.
In the peace of a deep forest glade clothed in white frosty gown.

I see You in the colour of leaves. In the red, bronze and gold.
In the Moon shining bright on the sea. What a sight to behold.

In the view from a peak to green valleys below.
In the Sun setting low in the sky with it’s fiery glow.

I hear You in the chorus of birds as they herald the dawn.
In the breeze on a warm summer’s day as it rustles the corn.

In the wild water’s roar rushing down to the sea.
In the cry of a gull soaring high. In the hum of a bee.

As I gaze at the star studded sky in the vastness above,
I’m reminded of Your awesome power. Of Your infinite love.

And I know You are there in my life every day.
That Your Spirit will guide and protect as I follow Your way.

Dear Father, Creator of the universe, fourteen years ago I wrote this poem after reading Hebrews 11:3. I am inspired by the beauty You created for us to enjoy. Thank you in Jesus’ name.
