Wake Up Call for Peace

“Their feet are swift to shed blood; Destruction and misery are in their ways; And the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
Romans 3:15-18 (NKJV)

Why so much violence, crimes, atrocities and evil we see every day in our sophisticated modern advanced age? Answer is, we are living in perilous times as prophesied in 2 Timothy 3:1-5. It is no time to be politically correct, but to speak the truth in love as we are experiencing such horrendous crimes and terrorism worldwide.

The world is no more a safe place for anyone. All because the two great commandments given by Jesus: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength; and love your neighbour as you love yourself, have been ignored by the world. Instead, the world has piled up arsenals of enough nuclear weapons, biological and nerve agents to wipe out the entire human race from the face of the earth. Mankind has always used weapons at hand during wars, as we are very well aware of the stark reality from the second world war and before that the first world war and wars in the past. The nature of mankind has not changed.

It is a wake-up call for all Christians everywhere to be vigilant and circumspect and know the times in which we are living. Ephesians 5:15-16 tells us, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” As the anchor scripture says, the way of peace the world does not know but the Prince of Peace who came as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world (John 1:29) who is also called the Lion of Judah in Revelation 5:5, is coming as the King Of kings and The Lord of Lords to usher in the peaceful world prophesied in Isaiah 9:6-7. He will rule justly in righteousness and stop all wars (Isaiah 2:1-4). However, until then the progression of evil will continue to wax worse because of evil people (2 Timothy 3:13).

However, there is bright hope of everlasting peace through Jesus Christ, who is our hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). No more violence, crimes, atrocities and killings, but everlasting peace guaranteed in the future in the Kingdom of God ruled by Jesus Christ. Come quickly Lord Jesus. The world needs You. It is my sincere wish, for You alone can solve the problem of the wicked and evil world.

Lord God Almighty, our Father in heaven, I thank You for Your Holy Bible which reveals the truth about a peaceful world tomorrow. I praise and give thanks to You in Jesus’ Holy name.
