Depend On Jesus

“But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

The word wait in the scripture above means to depend on, to have complete confidence in. The word LORD refers to Jesus.  What the above scripture is saying is: Those who depend on Jesus shall renew their strength, They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

What wonderful promises they are! God expects us to do all that we can to take care of our physical bodies with sensible diet and regular exercise; doctors and surgeons are there to help us when we have problems with our bodies. A number of years ago I went into hospital to have an operation for a double hernia which was causing me a lot of pain. The operation was very successful and I have had no problems since the operation. We have confidence in the doctors and surgeons but when we depend on Jesus He will work through them and will do things that they are unable to do.

When we give our lives to Jesus and depend on His strength, there are no limits—all things are possible! No matter what situations we may have to face now or in the future, we need not fear – we can always depend on Jesus to see us through! When our strength is weak He will renew it so that we can mount up with wings like eagles.

Jesus will always be with us and He will never let go of our hand, and when we are too weak to walk He will carry us.  We can ALWAYS depend on Jesus.

Prayer
Father God, help us to really comprehend that we can always depend on Jesus to give us the victory over any situation we may have to face, and that there is no need to fear, for we are all held safely in the arms of Jesus.  He will never let go!
Amen
